Office Volunteering

Office Volunteers help with administrative tasks at the Make-A-Wish office. By assisting the staff with administrative tasks, the staff can focus more on planning wishes and raising money to fund those wishes.

Office volunteers assist staff members with tasks related to data entry, filing, making phone calls, keeping records updated, volunteer recruitment and screening, and more. Office volunteers typically commit to a weekly schedule of about 3-4 hours per week, on a weekly basis.  For most office volunteer positions, we ask for a minimum six-month commitment. Office volunteers help at the Make-A-Wish office in downtown Oakland, and must be available during our regular office hours (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F).
