Event Volunteering

Event volunteers are crucial to making our fundraising events successful.

Make-A-Wish needs extra help from volunteers at our annual events. Volunteers will generally help with things like registration, auctions, setup, breakdown, and much more.

Walk for Wishes

East Bay Walk - Saturday, August 5 - Bishop Ranch, San Ramon 
North Bay Walk - Saturday, August  12 - Shollenberger Park, Petaluma
South Bay Walk - Saturday, August 19  - Google, Mountain View

Walk for Wishes is a 5K fundraising walk where participants raise money to walk. We hold these at Shollenberger Park in Petaluma, the Google Headquarters in Mountain View, and the East Bay.  Volunteers help with registration, raffle, setup, breakdown, and course monitoring.


Wine & Wishes – February 2018 - San Francisco

Wine & Wishes is our gala wine-tasting evening. With around 800 guests, this is a large event, and it takes about 130 volunteers to make it happen.  Volunteers help with things like silent auction, live auction, raffle, registration, checkout, pouring wine, and more. We will also be looking for large groups to help with set up the Friday before the event.


Wishes in Wine Country - Saturday, May 19, 2018 - Windsor

This is one of our largest events, a wine-tasting gala held at the Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards in Windsor, CA (just north of Santa Rosa), and takes about 140 volunteers to make it happen. Volunteers help with setup, breakdown, registration, wine pouring, raffle sales, silent auction, live auction, and more.  We also need large groups to help set up for the event on Friday, May 18th.
