Wish Alum Michelle Gives Back as Make-A-Wish Intern

Michelle
When I was two years old, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Three years later, at the age of five, I finished my last round of chemo treatment and was declared cancer free! Shortly after this, Make-A-Wish San Diego granted my wish, to go on a Disney Cruise. My wish was very special to my family and me—it was our first ever family vacation. My dad had experienced a heart attack during one of my many rounds of treatment and had been in and out of the hospital right after I went into full remission.
